Alarm Log Screen

Displaying Alarms

A list of all the alarms and messages that have occurred so far are listed in the "Alarm Log" window.
Up to 500 administered, incoming and outgoing events are displayed in chronological order.

Rollover the menu image below and click on the various areas to view a description of that area.

Function Area This diagram display shows the current operating (function) area. One HMI function area comprises all aspects of the same subject or function.

Active Mode or Submode This diagram display shows the current operating mode or submode the machine is running in.

Acknowledgement Symbol This diagram display shows the current acknowledgement symbol specifying what key to press to acknowledge or cancel (delete) the alarm.

Alarm Number This is the field where machine alarm number reference appears. The alarm numbers are displayed in white lettering on a red background. An arrow indicates that several alarms are active.

Alarm Message Text This is the field where machine faults and messages appear. The associated alarm text is shown in red lettering.

List Name This displays the name of the currently loaded list.

Raised Column This column will display the date (mm/dd/yy) and time the alarm occurred.
This column can be sorted as ascending (most recent last) or descending (most recent first) by pressing the "Sort" vertical softkey.

Cleared Column This column will display the date (mm/dd/yy) and time the alarm was acknowledged or deleted.
This column can be sorted as ascending (most recent last) or descending (most recent first) by pressing the "Sort" vertical softkey.

Number Column This is the column where the machine alarm number reference appears.

Text Column This column is where machine faults and messages appear.

Display new Vertical Softkey Press the "Display new" vertical softkey to display the newest alarm log.

Sort Vertical Softkey Pressing the "Sort" vertical softkey will open a window to allow the sorting of the list by date or by number in ascending or descending order.
An up or down arrow will appear on the relative column header to indicate the sort order.

Settings Vertical Softkey Press the "Settings" vertical softkey to display the settings for the alarm log.

Save log Vertical Softkey Press the "Save log" vertical softkey to save the alarm log.
The log that is currently displayed is stored as text file alarmlog.txt in the system data in directory: card/user/sinumerik/HMI data/Logs/Alarm log.

Horizontal Softkey Bar This displays the main level menu for the machine. Each menu item has its own screen or screens with various sub-functions. The user softkey bar can be expanded to display additional softkeys if available via the menu forward key.
