Coolant System

From a central cooling lubricant treatment unit, the cooling lubricant proceeds to the pressure booster. At the pressure booster the cooling lubricant is divided into individual streams on the basis of the CNC requirements. With the aid of a high-pressure pump, the pressure is boosted to meet the requirements and pumped to the CNC. The primary functions of the coolant system of the machine are: lubricating the cutting process, cooling the workpiece/machine, and flushing machining chips away from the work area into the chip conveyors. Coolant is supplied to the following zones of the machine:

  • Flushing below the Z-cover
  • Flush X-Axis
  • Flush Z-Axis bed pan
  • Flush guard panels
  • Flush front side
  • Flush X-Axis
  • Flush Z-Axis bed pan
  • Flush guard panels
  • Flushing of workpiece loading station
  • Flush workpiece in work area
  • Flush loading hatch
  • Cooling lubricant spindle nozzles
  • Cooling lubricant flush gun
  • Internal coolant supply
