Displaying Alarms

If faulty conditions are recognized in the operation of the machine, then an alarm will be generated and, if necessary, the machining will be interrupted. The error text that is displayed together with the alarm number gives you more detailed information on the error cause.

HMI Layout
Function Area

Function Area This diagram display shows the current operating (function) area. One HMI function area comprises all aspects of the same subject or function.

Active Mode or Submode

Active Mode or Submode This diagram display shows the current operating mode or submode the machine is running in.

Acknowledgement Symbol

Acknowledgement Symbol This diagram display shows the current acknowledgement symbol specifying what key to press to acknowledge or cancel (delete) the alarm.

Alarm Number

Alarm Number This is the field where machine alarm number reference appears. The alarm numbers are displayed in white lettering on a red background. An arrow indicates that several alarms are active.

Alarm Message Text

Alarm Message Text This is the field where machine faults and messages appear. The associated alarm text is shown in red lettering.

List Name

List Name This displays the name of the currently loaded list.

Date and Time Column

Date and Time Column This column will display the date (mm/dd/yy) and time the alarm occurred.
This column can be sorted as ascending (most recent last) or descending (most recent first) by pressing "Sort" vertical softkey.

Delete Column

Delete Column This column shows the current acknowledgement symbol specifying what key to press to acknowledge or cancel (delete) the alarm.

Number Column

Number Column This is the column where the machine alarm number reference appears.
This column can be sorted as ascending order or descending order by pressing "Sort" vertical softkey.

Text Column

Text Column This column is where machine faults and messages appear.

Delete HMI Alarm Vertical Softkey

Delete HMI Alarm Vertical Softkey Press the "Delete HMI alarm" vertical softkey to cancel an HMI alarm.
The softkey is activated when the cursor is on the corresponding alarm.

Acknowl. alarm Vertical Softkey

Acknowl. alarm Vertical Softkey Press the "Acknowledge alarm" vertical softkey to delete a PLC alarm of the SQ type (alarm number as of 800000).
The softkey is activated when the cursor is on the corresponding alarm.

Sort Vertical Softkey

Sort Vertical Softkey Pressing the "Sort" vertical softkey will open a window to allow the sorting of the list by date or by number in ascending or descending order.
An up or down arrow will appear on the relative column header to indicate the sort order.

Hide SI alarms

Hide SI alarms Press the "Hide SI alarms" vertical softkey to not display SI alarms.

Horizontal Softkey Bar

Horizontal Softkey Bar This displays the main level menu for the machine. Each menu item has its own screen or screens with various sub-functions. The user softkey bar can be expanded to display additional softkeys if available via the menu forward key.
