Replace Euchner CET Door Switches

Euchner CET3-AR-CRA-AH-50X-SH

Description: Replacing an Euchner CET3-AR-CRA-AH-50X-SH or actuator with a device of the same type

Slotted screwdriver

Zero contact safety system CET3-AR-CRA-AH-50X-SH:

Info: Before the system can form a functional unit, the actuator must be assigned to the safety switch via a teach-in function.

NOTE:
The evaluation unit detects only taught-in actuators (transponders). Only the last actuator to be taught in is detected. New actuators are taught in by installing a line bypass. This must then be removed again. When a new actuator is taught, the safety switch disables the code of its predecessor. This cannot be immediately re-taught in a new teach-in process. The disabled code is only released again in the safety switch after a third code has been taught.

LED 2 Green Freely assignable*

Preparing the device for the teach-in-process:

  1. Connect the switch but do not apply voltage to UB. Alternatively, turn off the main switch.
  2. For ready-to-teach, the teach-in input J must rewired from 0 V to 24 V DC. Please note: For normal operation reconnect the teach-in input to 0 V.

In our case, this means setting a jumper. Caution: Refer to the circuit diagram at this point! The circuit diagram describes or shows where the jumper needs to be set! In addition, you can also see what the abbreviations UB, J, etc., stand for!

Teaching an Actuator

  1. Switch on the supply voltage, UB. Alternatively, turn on the main switch.

The green LED flashes quickly (approx. 10 Hz).

A self-test is carried out during this time (approx. 8 s). The green LED then flashes cyclically three times to indicate ready-to-teach. Ready-to-teach state is kept for about 3 minutes. If the red LED lights up, an error has occurred. Teach-in is not possible.

  2. Enable the locking mechanism. Close the safety gate.

  3. Fully insert the new actuator into the sink. Do not tilt; place centrally in the sink.

The teach-in process starts; the green LED flashes (approx. 1 Hz). The teach-in process is completed after approximately 60 seconds and all the LEDs are unlit.

  4. Switch off the operating voltage UB (for a min. of 3 seconds). Alternatively, turn off the main switch.

The code of actuator that was just taught is activated on the safety switch.

  5. Remove the jumper that you set.

  6. Switch on the supply voltage, UB. Alternatively, turn on the main switch again.

  7. Check whether everything works.
