Replace Axis Motor EncoderDrive Cliq SMI Replacement - DQIDescription: The document explains the procedure for replacing a DQI Module. DQI (SMI incl. motor encoder) Please Note: To replace the electronic system, always turn off the main switch completely! Precondition: To be able to replace a faulty SMI, the data from the SMI (information about the connected motor) must first be backed up. This must of course be done while the SMI is still intact. It is also possible to obtain the SMI data as a file. A mandatory model (to match the motor) can be ordered as a spare part. Data Backup: Using [Startup] [Masch.Daten] [Control Unit Parameter], the data of all SMIs that exist on the system can be backed up (P4692=1). You need to repeat the procedure shown in the chart for each control unit (NCU, NX1, NX2, etc.). An error message is displayed after saving the SMI data for an NX - this can be ignored. Please complete the backup in the same way even if defective encoders are connected!!! Storage location of the SMI component data on the CF card: NCU(3.3:1) - SMIs: [System Data] System CF card user sinamics data smi_data c0XX NX (3.15:1) - SMIs: [System data] System CF card user sinamics data 15 smi_data c0XX NX (3.14:1) - SMIs: [System data] System CF card user sinamics data 14 smi_data c0XX "c0XX" stands for the respective SMI topology number! Deployed DQI Encoder Types: AS24 DQI - Absolute Single Turn 24-bit AM24 DQI - Absolute Multi Turn 24-bit Please Note: All deployed DQI motor encoders are absolute even if they are set to incremental in the axis configuration! For motors with a DQI module, the encoder data are hard coded in the encoder module. The electronic type plate only consists of one file with the motor data dqixe1.bin Replacing a Defective Motor Encoder
