From July 2008 to July 2009, the number of unemployed people in Ohio rose from 399,000 to 664,000. The response to this alarming increase continues to evolve but includes funds to create new jobs and increased attention to training, career ladders and family sustaining jobs. The Ohio ALF-CIO is sponsoring this educational forum to provide an opportunity for community leaders from labor, economic development and workforce development to explore ways to use our combined resources to address the current economic challengers.
Joseph P. Rogola - President, Ohio AFL-CIO
